Delete Your Account
Legal Documents
This page explains how to delete your MedVoyage Global account (app name: MedVoyage) and what happens to your data when you do. You can delete your account yourself — you do not need our permission and you do not need to give a reason.
Option 1 — Delete it in the app (fastest)
- Open the MedVoyage app and sign in.
- Go to Settings (from your profile).
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Your account is disabled straight away and you are signed out. Nothing else is required from you.
Option 2 — Request it by email (if you cannot access the app)
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us from the email address on your MedVoyage account:
Subject: Account deletion request
Include: the email address on your account and your full name.
We verify that the request genuinely comes from the account holder before acting on it — this protects your medical information from being deleted by someone else. We action verified requests within 30 days.
The 30-day grace period
When deletion is requested, your account is disabled immediately — you are signed out and can no longer use the Services with it. Permanent deletion then happens 30 days later.
Changed your mind? Simply sign in again within those 30 days and the deletion is cancelled automatically — your account is restored exactly as it was. After 30 days it cannot be recovered.
What is permanently deleted
- Your account and profile — name, email address, phone number and profile photo.
- Your patient profile, including health details, allergies, blood group and emergency contacts.
- Your sign-in credentials, and any linked Google or Apple sign-in identity.
- Saved preferences and settings.
- Reviews and ratings you have written.
If you have never had an appointment, medical record or payment with us, your account record is erased entirely.
What we are legally required to keep — and how we protect it
MedVoyage is a healthcare service. Where you have had appointments, medical records or payments through us, health and financial regulations require us to retain those records for a defined period. We are not permitted to erase them on request.
In that situation we irreversibly anonymise your account instead. Your name, email address, phone number, photograph and login credentials are permanently removed, and the remaining records are kept in a form that can no longer be linked back to you. When the applicable retention period expires, those records are deleted as well.
Records retained in this anonymised form: appointment history, medical records and documents, and payment/transaction records.
